Hi and welcome to Derek Grace Photography
I’m Derek Grace and my interest in photography began when I started rock climbing in the Lake District as a teenager. Eventually after enjoying and completing a Degree course in Photography, Film and Television, then working in London, I went solo as a photographer. That was 1988. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients, shooting commercial and advertising photography; from car photography and product pack shots; to studio and location photography of large agricultural machines for New Holland and Case, which involved travelling around the UK and Europe.
Moving to South Cumbria, on the borders of Yorkshire and Lancashire and thanks to some great clients, my work has expanded to cover architectural/construction; property/estate agent photography and portraiture.
I am very fortunate to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the Lake District and the convenience of excellent transport links, to all of the UK and Europe, so my work is not restricted to local locations.
I’ve had a life-long love of photography, with landscapes being a personal interest of mine, which I continue to pursue.
